aetiology

- may be helped by chronic chilli ingestion to desensitize receptors 1)
- “Habba syndrome” - dysfunctional gallbladder 2)
- may be helped by bile acid binding agents such as cholestyramine
- idiopathic accelerated gastric emptying and hypoglycaemia syndrome 3)

- may respond to ondansetron 4)
- a-glucosidase (sucrase, glucoamylase, maltase, or isomaltase) deficiency
workup
- inflammatory markers
- consider workup for:
- stool culture and faecal fats
- referral to gastroenterologist for colonoscopy and further assessment and Mx
