HOPPE score for outpatient Mx of PE

Introduction
- the HOPPE score is based on an Indian study published in 2017 in which 400 adult patients with proven PE were studied
- patients ended up being roughly equally distributed into 3 score groups:
- low risk with score of 0 to 6 points:
- < 1% 30 day mortality
- however, the secondary outcome of RVD was still seen in 21% of low-risk patients
- intermediate risk with score 7-10 points:
- high risk with score 11-15 points

ECG Score:
- tachycardia = 2
- incomplete RBBB = 1
