Introduction
- the exposome is a measure of all the environmental or external exposures over our lifetime and the ways in which these impact our health
- it includes diet, food and water toxins, lifestyle, education, income, air pollution, chemical exposures, infectious exposures, radiation exposures, EMF exposures and climate conditions
- many of these can impact health via modifying our the GIT microbiome which is being found to have increasingly wide ranging health impacts including neurologic, psychologic, immunologic and metabolic effects
- the metabonomics focuses on metabolic changes caused by the exposome and health
- clinical diagnostics and risk analyses could be vastly improved through AI analysis of the exposome along with patient-specific genomics, the GIT microbiome analysis, blood analysis of transcriptome, proteome, etc, but this requires massive amounts of individualised data and clinical outcomes to train such AI models
