Introduction
the HOPPE score is based on an Indian study published in 2017 in which 400 adult patients with proven PE were studied
patients ended up being roughly equally distributed into 3 score groups:
low risk with score of 0 to 6 points:
< 1% 30 day mortality
however, the secondary outcome of RVD was still seen in 21% of low-risk patients
intermediate risk with score 7-10 points:
high risk with score 11-15 points
