Introduction
a rare scaly chronic red/orange rash with thickening and scaling of the palms and soles forming palmoplantar keratoderma
classic forms usually go away in 3 to 5 years with or without treatment
atypical forms may last over 20 years and often have an eczematous component
Epidemiology
~60% affect adults - most often affects adults between 50 and 70 years of age
~40% affect children

inherited forms of PRP are very rare
Clinical features
6 main types
scaly chronic red/orange rash with thickening
scaling of the palms and soles forms palmoplantar keratoderma
mildly itchy
can progress to cover most of the body
can cause ectropion of the eyelid
